Architectural and commercial photographer born in Guatemala. In 2005 he obtained the title of Administrative Engineer at the Galileo University (Guatemala) and in 2011 he received the MBA degree from the Catholic University of Chile.
At the beginning, Marcelo presented the series “Soledad Iluminada” in 2013, his first personal exhibition. He has also made several group exhibitions, both nationally and internationally. In 2003 he achieved honorable mention in the Third Edition of the SONY Digital Photography Regional Contest and in 2009 another one by Fundación Rozas-Botrán, in the “Arte en Mayo” exhibition, all while developing his corporate career.
During the process and oriented to develop his passion, he began his career as a professional in photography focused on architectural photography (space and 360 degrees) and commercial photography, where through his work he has achieved that his clients win prizes in competitions. Such as First place in ’39th Annnual Souce Awards’ in the Commercial category for its lighting design, First prize for Excellence, among others.
His work has been published in national and international journals, such as Planes and Styles, Construir Magazine, Esencial Magazine and Oculus (New York).
Among his most recent achievements, he is a founding partner of a professional photography studio called Fotosónico, where we offer a variety of other services, such as studio rental, equipment rental, 360 product photo among others.
My visual quest is driven by a desire to create a universe capable of supporting feelings and ideas.
I wish that all of nature’s magnificence, the emotion of the land, the living energy of place could be photographed.
